Terms and conditions
By renting something from Mavoureen, you engage in our service and agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions.
Important Notice
Our products may have limited quantities and must be returned to us either in store on the date of end of rental or using next day delivery postage on the final date of your rental agreement. If you require an extension on your rental this can be arranged (subject to availability) via our ‘contact us’ page.
If you do not return your item by the rental end date and have not arranged a rental extension, Mavoureen reserve the right to charge you up to a £30 fee per day. This fee must paid within 10 working days of the agreed rental end date.
Our products must be returned in good condition, suitable for future use. If an item is returned damaged beyond repair we reserve the right charge you up to the RRP (as stated on our website). For minor damages the cost of repair/damage fee will be charged to the customer. Mavoureen reserve the right to decide what qualifies as a minor damage, and what is beyond repair. Any charges must be paid within 30 days after the agreed rental end date.
If you lose an item you are renting, Mavoureen reserve the right to charge up to the RRP (as stated on our website) of that item. This must be paid within 10 working days of the agreed rental end date.
By renting from Mavoureen you agree to provide current, complete and accurate purchase and account information for all purchases and bookings made at our store or online.
If you have been provided with a box to transport your dress, this must be returned along with the dress. Mavoureen reserve the right to charge up to £25 to replace this if not returned. Payment must be made within 10 working days of the agreed rental end date.
Cancellation policy
We are unable to refund bookings cancelled later than 30 days in advance of your booking start date. Cancellations requested after this time may be given credit to use for an alternative product at a different date.
Any credit given under these circumstances must be used within 365 days of the initial agreed rental start date. After this period they will no longer be valid.
Try it on service - Local
We are able to provide a try on service to customers local to Northern Ireland. This service is provided by appointment only, via our booking system on our website.
Appointments are subject to availability of the dress. Paid rental requests will be given priority over free try on appointments.
If you damage an item at a try on appointment, Mavoureen reserve the right to charge for repairs or for a replacement. Mavoureen to decide if the damage is repairable or has deemed the dress unrepairable. Mavoureen reserve the right to decide what value is charged, up to the RRP (as stated on our website) for the damaged item.
Our ‘shipped’ Try it on service
We offer a shipped try on service, subject to availability. This is arranged by contacting us via our ‘contact us’ page.
To have a dress shipped for try on you will be charged the rental fee which is refunded (minus shipping costs) if you decide not to hire and have returned the dress that same day. The dress must be returned to us the same day that it is delivered, using next day delivery postage.
If the dress is not returned to us on the same day of delivery via next day delivery or with no proof of postage (either by an image on Instagram messenger, WhatsApp or by email) then Mavoureen hold the right not to refund the price of the dress hire that was paid before shipping.
Mavoureen hold the right to decline try on services. If the dress becomes booked for a paid rental over the try on date, then Mavoureen reserve the right to postpone try on arrangements.
In the rare chance that you feel there is an issue with the quality of your rental, this must be reported within the first 24hrs of your hire. This is to ensure that damage has not occurred whilst in your possession. If you report any damages after this period Mavoureen reserve the right to refuse to refund your rental payment. If Mavoureen deem the damage to have been made whilst in your possession, Mavoureen reserve the right to charge you up to the RRP of dress. This must be paid within 30days of the rental start date.
Payment & deposits.
Full payment is required to secure the dress for your dates. A pre charge hold will be taken on cards, we appreciate paying a big deposit defeats the purpose of rental therefore we have made this easier with no extra up front cost.
If there are no damages and the dress is returned on time, you will not be charged any extra.
Dry cleaning is included in our cost, please dont worry about the dress being dirty especially our floor length gowns this is to be expected and would not effect your deposit.
Damages - ripped dress, hole in the dress, structural damage.
Stains that will not come out (most things come out) :)
